Then we were required to draw three 3D sketches and make a quick sketch model of the space:
Sketch #1.
Once I was done drawing I figured out how I wanted the doors that separated the spaces. They are made of glass and are meant to act as barn doors and they both slide away from one another to open.
Sketch #2.
Next I wanted to show the doors open but also with the collaborative table in front. This table has a running hole in the middle that has plugins added for the convince of those occupying the space.
Sketch #3.
I struggle to draw chairs whether they are stools, seats, benches, etc. So my advice is to take your imagination and picture a "Rollie" chair at the desk that is shown. Within the space we have placed between 3 and 6 individual work desks around the area for a more private area.
Sketch #4.
Above the ledges we wanted to use the open space that is provided, so we liked the idea of glass and applied that to this area. Every piece of glass is separated by a pin up board that not only allows for great discussion areas but also traps the sound that travels through the space pretty badly.
Sketch model!
My group really wanted to create a fun and inviting space so we loved the concept of a net (this idea origenated within the Maison project within Paris and gave the idea of being weightless and letting your mind completely wonder). In addition the idea of swings were a must!
